A planned vehicle move gives you time to organize the pickup and destination. Whether the car is going to a nearby repair shop or farther away, a few details help avoid confusion on moving day.
Confirm who will receive the car
Contact the repair shop or destination before requesting transport. Confirm the full address, a receiving contact, business hours, and permission to leave the car. Ask how keys should be handled if the destination will be closed. Do not assume a shop can accept an unattended vehicle at any time.
Describe the vehicle’s condition and access
Provide the year, make, model, drivetrain if known, and whether the car starts, rolls, and steers. Mention collision damage, a locked wheel, low clearance, modifications, or an EV/hybrid powertrain. Tell us about height restrictions, tight parking, gates, slopes, or a car blocked by other vehicles.
Ask for a quote with both addresses
Use the pickup address and actual destination when discussing pricing. Share your preferred date and time, any deadline at the destination, and a reachable contact number. Explain if either address or the vehicle’s condition may change. Long-distance availability depends on the job and must be confirmed directly.
Prepare for the agreed pickup
Once service is confirmed, make the keys available through the agreed handoff and arrange authorized access to the vehicle. Take personal belongings out when safe and practical. Confirm who can answer questions at each end of the trip. Do not leave private documents, payment information, or sensitive belongings for a photo or handoff.
Keep the plan clear
An online quote request starts a conversation; it is not a reservation or dispatch confirmation. Ask us to confirm availability, pricing, pickup arrangements, and destination instructions before relying on a scheduled move.
