A car that will not move does not always need the same kind of help. Roadside assistance addresses an eligible problem at the vehicle’s location. Towing transports the vehicle somewhere else. Tell us what happened so we can discuss a practical next step.
When roadside assistance may fit
A no-start, lockout, flat tire, or fuel issue may be suitable for a roadside service, depending on the vehicle and access. A tire change requires a suitable spare and compatible equipment. A jump-start request should include the vehicle model and any warning signs you noticed; a successful start does not identify or repair the underlying fault.
Tell us about damaged tires, missing keys, unusual smells, fluid leaks, or an unsafe location before a service is arranged. You do not need to decide the exact cause yourself.
When transport may be the better plan
A car that needs repair, has collision damage, or cannot safely be driven may need transport. Share whether it rolls and steers, its ground clearance, drivetrain if known, and the intended destination. Equipment and loading access must be checked for the specific car.
What about a stuck vehicle?
Winch-out and recovery requests need their own assessment. Describe the surface, slope, obstacles, and how the vehicle became stuck. Do not stand near a cable or attempt a recovery yourself while asking for assistance. Recovery depends on safe access, conditions, equipment, and availability; it cannot be promised from a short description alone.
One call to discuss the options
You can say, “I’m not sure which service I need.” We will ask about your location, vehicle, and symptoms, then discuss service compatibility, availability, and pricing. If roadside help is not appropriate or the car still needs repair, discuss transport before assuming it is included.
